Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking a qualified ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging and contribute to patient care within Radiology. The role requires graduation from a medical imaging program and timely BLS certification.

You will plan and perform imaging procedures, ensure high-quality images, protect patient confidentiality, educate patients, and collaborate with the care team to support efficient, high-quality radiology services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging program.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Plans and performs imaging procedures to produce sonographic images for diagnosis or treatment.
• Maintains professional and technical competencies as required by the organization and licensing bodies.
• Reviews physician requests for information and clarifies questions before studies.
• Produces images of optimal quality.
• Maintains confidentiality of Protected Health Information.
• Educates patients regarding sonographic procedures and answers questions.
