Qualifications

• One year of registered sonographer experience.
• Current licensure: RDMS or ARRT radiologic technologist.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities

• Plans and performs imaging procedures to produce sonographic images for diagnosis or treatment.
• Maintains professional and technical competencies as required by the organization and licensing bodies.
• Reviews physician requests and clarifies details with the referring provider when needed.
• Produces images of optimal quality.
• Educates patients regarding sonographic procedures and answers questions.
• Promotes teamwork among radiology staff and other departments.
• Displays imaging techniques and patient care in line with policies and ethics.
• Performs as a clinical instructor meeting program standards and evaluates student performance.
