Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in the automotive or Heavy Duty industry.
• Master's degree and at least 1 year of experience in the automotive or Heavy Duty industry.
• At least 5 years of experience in the automotive or Heavy Duty industry.
• Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develops diagnostic processes and procedures for specific products and acts as a diagnostic subject matter expert in support of other groups within the company.
• Routinely conducts problem-solving and analysis on product related issues for improved product quality and warranty expense reduction.
• Participates in the Engineering Design Review process and influences design decisions for improved diagnostics and serviceability in evolving product designs.
• Reviews, and influences, current product changes for improved diagnostics.
• Creates requirements for the development of diagnostic tools and validates changes to diagnostic tools and compatibility with product changes.
• Provides technical support to field test fleet and support personnel who are diagnosing complex product electronic and mechanical systems.
• Responds to situations where first-line product support requires a deeper investigation to isolate or fix problems in equipment or software.
• Performs technical work requiring a considerable amount of creativity, perception and initiative.
