Job summary

International Motors, LLC seeks a Diagnostic Consultant to lead the strategy, development and creation of diagnostics including Guide Live and ongoing innovations, with emphasis on data definition and quality for remote and autonomous diagnostics.

The role translates engineering information into cohesive data points and language for technicians, supporting new program launches and current products to improve uptime and reduce warranty costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in automotive or related field required.
• Master's degree with relevant experience preferred.
• At least 5 years of automotive/Heavy Duty experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develops diagnostic processes and acts as SME for diagnostics support within the company.
• Routinely conducts problem-solving and analysis on product issues to improve quality and reduce warranty expense.
• Participates in the Engineering Design Review process and influences design decisions for diagnostics and serviceability.
• Reviews and influences current product changes for improved diagnostics.
• Creates requirements for diagnostic tools and validates changes and compatibility with product changes.
• Provides technical support to field test fleet and support personnel diagnosing complex systems.
• Responds to situations where deeper investigation is needed to isolate or fix problems.
• Performs technical work requiring creativity, perception and initiative.
