Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks an ADAS Diagnostics Systems Engineer to architect and own the diagnostic strategy for selected ADAS features, partnering with software, controls, and hardware teams to translate failures into actionable DTCs and robust diagnostics.

You will develop specifications, models, and validation criteria in alignment with UDS/ISO 14229 and OBD standards, drive root-cause investigations, and create troubleshooting guides for engineering, manufacturing, and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related engineering field.
• 2+ years in vehicle systems engineering and diagnostics.
• Experience translating stakeholder needs into technical requirements.
• Familiarity with diagnostic standards (UDS/ISO 14229, OBD).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own diagnostic strategy for assigned ADAS features/subsystems, from concept to production.
• Publish diagnostic specifications and behavioral models for software/hardware teams.
• Design diagnostics aligned with UDS/ISO 14229, OBD, and corporate standards.
• Lead intake for enhanced diagnostics requests and develop proposals.
• Collaborate with software/controls engineers to define fault detection thresholds.
