Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Radiology Technologist for West Chester Orthopedic to perform diagnostic imaging under the direction of a licensed practitioner, ensuring safety and image quality.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure preferred, and BLS. 1 year of experience in radiation safety and patient care is desired. EPIC/EHR and PACS knowledge is preferred to support efficient patient workflows.

Qualifications

• Associates from an ARRT accredited institute preferred.
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology required.
• State licensure preferred where required by state.
• BLS Basic Life Support required at hire for specified locations; preferred prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and ensure documentation for licensed practitioners.
• Position patients to demonstrate anatomy and minimize discomfort.
• Apply radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Operate imaging equipment to perform procedures.
• Verify informed consent and complete pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and radiography procedures; follow aseptic technique.
• Perform timeout as per policy.
• Identify, prepare and/or administer medications/contrast as prescribed.
