Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist at West Hospital to perform diagnostic imaging under physician supervision. You will apply radiographic techniques, ensure patient safety, and assist with contrast media as prescribed.

Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential for quality patient care. The role requires ARRT diagnostic radiology certification, state licensure where applicable, and basic life support credentials, with RIIs and EHR/PACS familiarity

Qualifications

• Associates degree from ARRT‑accredited institute (preferred).
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
• State licensure preferred, unless required by the state where the job is performed.
• BLS Basic Life Support (required at hire for some locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent care).
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred).
• Experience with Radiology Information System (RIS) preferred.
• Epic EHR and PACS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and lab work for licensed practitioner use.
• Positions and immobilizes patients to best demonstrate the area of interest.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Performs radiographic procedures using imaging equipment.
• Verifies consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography; aseptic technique as needed.
• Performs timeout per policy.
• Identifies, prepares and/or administers medications/contrast as prescribed.
