Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join West Hospital Medical Office Building 1. The role involves diagnostic imaging under an authorized user, with focus on patient safety and high-quality imaging.

Responsibilities include patient history collection, positioning, radiation protection, and assisting with fluoroscopic procedures. ARRT certification is required, BLS, and state licensure preferred. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred).
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support (required at hire for certain locations; preferred at hire, required before patient care at some locations).

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient clinical history and lab work for licensed practitioner use.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to best demonstrate area of interest.
• Applies radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Performs radiographic procedures with imaging equipment.
• Verifies informed consent and completes documentation.
• Assists with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures; uses aseptic technique as needed.
• Performs timeout per policy.
• Identifies, prepares and administers medications/contrast as prescribed.
