Job summary

Geisinger in Bloomsburg, PA seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring correct patient identification, safety, and data documentation in compliance with ALARA principles.

New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months; 24 months to advance to level 2 after hire. Education: Specialty Training in Radiologic Technology required; bachelor's in a related field preferred.

Qualifications

Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire.
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure correct order, patient identification, and exam preparation.
Apply imaging protocols and ALARA principles to maximize safety.
Prepare or administer medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
Evaluate images for positioning and quality; manage data transfer.
Educate and supervise students and other healthcare staff.
Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic procedures.
Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed, including outside the Radiology Department.
