Job summary

Geisinger is seeking Radiologic Technologists to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures and to assist licensed practitioners in diagnostic imaging within a clinical setting.

New graduates must obtain ARRT-R within 6 months of hire; advancing to level 2 within 24 months is required after hire. A Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology is required, with a Bachelor's in a related field preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire and progression to level 2 within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, identify patients, prepare for exams and document history with confidentiality.
• Apply imaging protocols while maximizing patient safety and ALARA principles.
• Prepare and administer medications through vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for quality and ensure proper data transfer and storage.
• Educate and monitor students and other health care staff.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and radiologic procedures.
• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed, including non-departmental work.
• Work in a clinical environment and comply with all policies.
