Job summary

Geisinger seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring safe exposure and adherence to ALARA under licensed practitioners.

New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire; a Bachelor's in a related field is preferred. Responsibilities include preparing patients, selecting imaging protocols, educating students, and assisting in OR/ICU procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree-Related Field of Study (Preferred).
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order, patient identification, preparation, and documentation while maintaining confidentiality.
• Applies imaging protocols, optimizes technical factors, and upholds ALARA to maximize patient safety and care.
• Administers medications through vascular access as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates image quality and ensures proper data transfer/archival storage.
• Educating and monitoring students and other health care providers.
• Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
• Performs diagnostic radiographic and noninterpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including in operating rooms, endoscopy, ICU, etc.
