Job summary

Mercy Health’s Radiology - Diagnostic team at St. Joseph Warren Hospital seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging under supervision, ensuring safe, high-quality imaging and patient care.

You will apply radiologic techniques, protect patients from unnecessary exposure, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. ARRT certification and state licensure are emphasized, with BLS required at hire.

Qualifications

• Associates from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred).
• ARRT certification and registration in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• State licensure (preferred, unless required by the state).
• BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association (required at hire for Mercy Health locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care).

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient’s clinical history and lab work as documented for licensed practitioners.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to demonstrate the area of interest while ensuring comfort.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Performs radiographic procedures with imaging equipment and accessories.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and radiography procedures; maintains aseptic technique.
• Performs timeout as required by policy.
• Identifies, prepares and/or administers medications/contrast as prescribed.
