Job summary

Mercy Health in Warren, OH is seeking a Radiology Technologist for Diagnostic Imaging at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. Under supervision, you will perform radiographic procedures, ensure patient safety, and assist physicians with fluoroscopic and specialized imaging.

Required ARRT certification, state licensure preferred, and BLS is needed at hire. One year of related experience and comfort working in an interdisciplinary team are expected; EPIC and PACS experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred).
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
• State licensure is preferred unless required by the state where the job is performed.
• BLS Basic Life Support (required at hire for certain locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care).
• 1 year of experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred).
• Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient's clinical history and lab work; documents for licensed practitioners.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Performs radiographic procedures using imaging equipment and accessories.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography; maintain sterile technique as needed.
• Performs timeout as required by policy.
• Identifies, prepares and/or administers medications/contrast as prescribed.
