Job summary

Mercy Health's St. Rita's Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist focused on delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging.

Under the direction of an authorized user, you will apply ionizing radiation safely and image patients efficiently. Key responsibilities include preparing patients, positioning, ensuring radiation safety, performing radiographic procedures, handling consent and documentation, assisting with fluoroscopy, administering contrast as prescribed, and supporting a

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an ARRT accredited institute preferred.
• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology required.
• BLS certification required at hire or prior to patient care as noted.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and lab data for licensed practitioner use.
• Position and immobilize patients for optimal imaging while ensuring comfort.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Perform radiographic procedures using imaging equipment.
• Verify informed consent and complete pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assist with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography; follow aseptic technique.
• Perform timeout per policy and manage medication/contrast as prescribed.
