Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiographic procedures for patients of all ages under the direction of a Radiologist.

The role requires independent judgment to adapt procedures for diagnostic results, strict radiation safety, and collaboration with the imaging team. The ideal candidate holds ARRT registration, a radiography license, BLS, and an associate degree with a radiologic technology certificate.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration (Radiography) required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (IEMA) per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures ensuring accurate examinations per policies and standards.
• Acts as resource for staff during radiographic procedures.
• Uses proper views, filters, collimation and patient identification to optimize image quality.
• Maintains radiation safety practices and shieldings.
• Ensures efficient patient flow and accurate documentation in HIS/Radiant/PACS.
• Participates in QA/QC, and supports training of technologists and students.
