Job summary

Geisinger Primary Care Berwick is seeking Radiologic Technologists to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, adhering to ALARA principles and patient safety.

The role includes preparing, administering medications as prescribed, documenting exposure according to laws, and assisting licensed practitioners in various settings. New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months; a strong commitment to patient care and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order, identifies patient, and documents history while ensuring confidentiality.
• Uses imaging protocols and ALARA principles to optimize patient safety and care.
• Preparing and/or administering medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates images for positioning and quality; manages data transfer and archival storage.
• Educates and monitors students and other health care providers.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in various settings (OR, ICU, etc.).
