Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a X-ray Technologist to obtain diagnostic radiographic examinations and support patient care across departments. You will position patients, select technical factors, and operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality images.

Responsibilities include portable x-ray work, ALARA adherence, contrast administration assistance, and clerical duties related to scheduling and records. The role requires flexibility for shifts, holidays, and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google Suite) including EPIC, PACS.

Responsibilities

• Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients and selecting factors.
• Performs portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, ORs, and ERs.
• Adheres to ALARA principles and ensures patient safety.
• Assists in administering radiopaque contrast media.
• Performs scheduling, patient instruction, and records maintenance.
