Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an X-Ray Technologist in New Jersey to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with attention to patient safety and image quality. You will work within a team, adhere to ALARA, and operate EPIC/PACS systems for imaging and scheduling.

Strong communication and computer skills are essential. The role requires completing an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program, ARRT certification, and a NJ license, with a focus on patient care and adherence to

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED and/or GED equivalent programs.
Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients, using immobilization devices, shielding, and selecting proper technical factors.
Gather information from medical records and care team to prepare scanning protocols and ensure patient safety.
Adhere to ALARA principles and safely identify patient images with name/MRN number.
Perform portable x-ray examinations in various departments and settings.
Maintain x-ray room and supplies; assist in administering radiopaque media when needed.
Handle scheduling, patient instruction, and other administrative duties as required.
