Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an X-Ray Technologist to obtain diagnostic radiographic examinations, position patients, and ensure safety according to ALARA standards. The role involves operating imaging equipment, documenting patient data, and assisting with administrative tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Required credentials include ARRT certification, New Jersey diagnostic radiologic license, and BLS within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients and selecting factors.
• Follow ALARA to limit radiation exposure and ensure patient safety.
• Perform portable x-ray exams in various settings.
• Identify images correctly and label side and patient information.
• Maintain x-ray room and medical records; schedule and assist with patient instructions.
