Job summary

Independence Health System in Unity Township, PA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographs under radiologist direction and ensure safe, efficient imaging. You will verify orders, prepare patients, select positioning and shielding, and operate radiology equipment.

Requires ARRT registry, JRCERT program, BLS, and strong communication with patients and staff. Travel between System locations and rotating/on-call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology Program recognized by the ARRT.
• Must maintain ARRT registration and BLS certification.
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collects pertinent patient data and verifies physician orders.
• Reviews charts to determine optimal imaging procedures.
• Positions patients and selects shielding and approved imaging parameters.
• Operates radiographic equipment and sends images to PACS for interpretation.
• Documents patient history and exam details in appropriate records.
• Coordinates with departments to accommodate STAT or ASAP orders.
• Maintains equipment and workstation in optimum condition.
• Performs daily QC on radiographic equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
