Job summary

Independence Health System in Pennsylvania seeks a Registered Radiologic Technologist specialized in MRI to perform imaging studies under the radiologist's direction and deliver compassionate patient care.

You will collect data, position patients, administer contrast when required, ensure safety, send images to PACS, document accordingly, and participate in safety and downtime procedures. This role requires ARRT MRI certification and a JRCERT-accredited program.

Qualifications

• Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program recognized by ARRT.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate complex topics to diverse audiences.
• Medical Terminology proficiency and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations and provide patient care under radiologist supervision.
• Collect patient data, verify orders, and obtain consent and safety screening.
• Position patients, select coils, administer contrast per guidelines, monitor for reactions.
• Reformat images and send to PACS for radiologist interpretation.
• Document patient care, orders, and history in the HIS/RIS/PACS systems.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure timely procedures and attend safety training.
