Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform radiographs and ensure high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. This on-site role emphasizes patient data collection, procedure preparation, and adherence to imaging protocols.

Responsibilities include positioning, equipment setup, PACS submission, and collaboration with radiologists and departments to maintain workflow. The ideal candidate will have ARRT certification and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program recognized by ARRT.
• Strong leadership, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking, and sound judgment.
• Ability to communicate complex topics to a wide and diverse audience.

Responsibilities

• Attend on-site regularly and punctually.
• Collect pertinent data about the patient and procedure; verify patient identity and order.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain consent; provide instructions.
• Set/adjust radiographic equipment and position patients for diagnostic images.
• Send images to PACS for interpretation by radiologist.
• Maintain equipment and work station; perform daily QC.
• Coordinate with Centralized Scheduling, nursing units, and ER as needed.
• Document patient history, orders, and any exceptions in RIS/HIS.
