Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic imaging and related duties under radiologist direction. You will gather patient data, review orders, select procedures, position patients, and ensure images are transferred to PACS for interpretation.

The role requires completion of a JRCERT-accredited program, strong communication, and the ability to work within a clinical imaging team. Travel between local system locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a JRCERT‑accredited Radiologic Technology Program recognized by the ARRT.
• Strong leadership ability, organizational skills, independent and critical thinking, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability in nursing practice.
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collects pertinent data about the patient and procedure.
• Reviews the patient chart/order to determine the optimal imaging procedure.
• Positions patients and adjusts radiographic equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Sends images to PACS for interpretation by radiologist.
• Maintains radiology equipment and workstation in optimum condition.
• Performs daily QC on radiographic equipment.
