Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a seasoned GMD DevSecOps Engineer to architect, build, and scale the DevSecOps environment within the IDDE. You will deploy containerized apps with Kubernetes, automate CI/CD pipelines, and administer hybrid cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.

The role requires 12+ years with advanced degrees or 20+ years without, an active Secret clearance, and strong collaboration and leadership skills to drive secure, scalable delivery.

Qualifications

• Master of Science or BA/BS with 12+ years (MA/MS waiver) or 20+ years experience in lieu of MA/MS.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Hands-on Terraform for IaC deployments.
• Kubernetes in production for containerized apps.
• Design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Experience in enterprise cloud environments (Azure and AWS).
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, GPOs, SCCM.
• Experience with STIG analysis, deployment orchestration, and security/code scanning tools.
• Experience with IDEs like Coder.
• CompTIA Security+ certification (DoD baseline).
• Strong communication, collaboration and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Architect and provision the IDDE DevSecOps environment with Terraform.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes for high availability.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Serve as a system administrator across hybrid cloud environments (AWS and Azure).
• Collaborate on STIG evaluation and embed security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support delivery objectives and create comprehensive deployment documentation.
