Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal DevOps Engineer to design and maintain automation pipelines and secure infrastructure supporting national security and space initiatives. Roles are based in Aurora, CO, Morrisville, NC, or Sacramento, CA, with strong collaboration across development teams, vendors, and IT staff.

The ideal candidate holds an active Top Secret clearance, has expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform, and can work in an Agile environment while ensuring high

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance (within scope) with ability to obtain SCI access.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years (Principal) or 8+ years (Senior Principal) of relevant experience.
• Expertise in AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Linux OS administration and Agile development experience.
• Ability to obtain Security+ within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and evolve infrastructure to support rapid capability maturation.
• Integrate pipelines with automation, testing, and CI/CD frameworks.
• Define standards for build, deployment, provisioning, and monitoring for reliability and security.
• Implement SCM, code quality, and automated testing in CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to automate deployment and monitoring.
