Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge in Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS, Linux, scripting (Python, Bash) and a background in Big Data solutions.

The role operates in a hybrid environment (about 1–2 days per week) with a collaborative, innovative team. The successful candidate will implement infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure reliability, scalability and monitoring of services

Qualifications

• Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 5+ years in DevOps or Software Development; or 3 years with a Masters; or 9 years with HS.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or similar container orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda).
• Proficient with Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with deployment, scaling, and management of apps, containers, and OS.
• Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with Git, Flux, and deployment tools.
• Proficient Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Understanding of AGILE methodologies and tooling.
• DoD 8140/8570 compliance certifications (Security+) or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Hybrid work: average 1–2 days/week at our San Antonio, TX office.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Support on-prem/Edge infrastructure deployment and portability.
• Automate deployment processes for reliability and scalability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems; resolve issues.
• Continuously improve processes for high availability and performance.
• Stay current with new technologies and trends to enhance infrastructure.
• Other duties as assigned.
