Job summary

Batteries Plus in Manassas, VA is seeking a Customer Service Device Repair Technician to join our team. You will repair cell phones, tablets, and other devices, assist customers, and participate in store operations.

The role combines technical repair work with sales support; training is provided, and the position pays $14–$15 per hour plus bonuses. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE.

Qualifications

• Minimum H.S. diploma/equivalent plus 3-6+ months of customer service and device repair experience preferred.
• Alternatively, an associate degree in electronics or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new processes.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work in a retail/warehouse environment with PPE.
• Ability to lift 10–20 lbs regularly, 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to log device repair input.
• Perform initial assessment to determine repair feasibility & estimate.
• Repair cell phones, tablets, and other devices as needed.
• Receive, pack and ship devices as required.
• Install batteries, perform tests and other technical work.
• Maintain inventory and organize displays.
• Provide live camera-based remote support for in-store repairs (Skype).
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE.
