Job summary

Batteries Plus Bulbs is seeking a Device Repair Technician to join our team and help launch a device repair function in-store. You will repair cell phones, tablets and related devices, with opportunities to create procedures and training videos for colleagues.

The role combines retail responsibilities with technical work in a supportive environment, including safety procedures and PPE. Experience in device repair and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high-school diploma or equivalent with 3–6+ months device repair experience.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to learn new processes quickly.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple commitments and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, both oral and written.
• Regular use of hands to handle electronic products and a computer; comfortable with tech.
• Ability to lift 10–20 lbs regularly; 50 lbs occasionally; more than 50 lbs infrequently.

Responsibilities

• Repair cell phones, tablets, and other devices as needed.
• Receive, pack and ship these devices.
• Develop written procedures and technical videos for common device repair activities.
• Participate in formal training of store associates, including tearing down devices and producing training photos/videos.
• Follow safety rules and wear appropriate PPE.

• 14.50-15.0 per hour Hourly rate plus easy daily commission on Phone repair, car battery installs and much more.

Based pay is $14.50 an hour plus commission on every screen and battery device repair. Tech also receives regular Batteries Plus Commission on Key Fob battery and program installs, car battery installs and other easy bonuses.

Batteries Plus Bulbs is looking for a person that is able to repair cell phones, tablets, light fixtures, and other devices as needed. As well as, support the start-up of the device repair function within Batteries+Bulbs. Associate will also work in the standard Batteries Plus retail store environment.

• Repair cell phones, tablets, and other devices as needed
• Receive, pack and ship these devices
• Develop written procedures and technical videos for common device repair activities
• Participate in formal training of store associates to include tearing down devices, taking photos, assisting with video training production.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Device Repair Technician Qualifications:

• Minimum H.S. diploma/equivalent plus 3-6+ months of previous device repair experience.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude. Able to quickly pick up on new processes and technologies without a lot of guidance
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to effectively manage and track multiple commitments; effectively prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, both oral and written. Strong customer service focus. Ability to inform, teach, and train
• This position requires the employee to regularly use hands to handle or touch electronic products The position also requires the employee to regularly use a computer and other office equipment
• This position requires lifting 10-20lbs on a regular and frequent basis, 50lbs on an occasional basis, and more than 50lbs on an infrequent basis.
