Job summary

onsemi in Gresham, OR is seeking a device engineering / yield enhancement engineer to join our fab and technology development teams in a fast-paced silicon wafer environment. You will drive yield improvements, NPI, and process optimization across the full silicon manufacturing chain, interfacing with process engineering, failure analysis, design/layout, wafer probe/test, and quality teams.

This role requires a BS/MS in Engineering (BSEE/MSEE preferred) and 5+ years in semiconductor process

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent in Engineering, with BSEE/MSEE preferred.
• Broad understanding of semiconductor devices such as CMOS, DMOS, and Bipolars.
• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor process technology and wafer fabrication.
• Problem-solving mindset and data-driven decision making.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; good interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Yield enhancement for production products.
• New product introduction into the Fab.
• Scrap reduction and prevention.
• Process improvements using existing and newly acquired process equipment, often working directly with Process Engineering.
• Minimize variation across lots, wafers, and products.
• Lower cost and improve throughput.
• Lower defectivity and Standardization / Best Known Methods.
• Analyze manufacturing and test data to improve product performance.
• Ensure all shipped material meets requirements.
• Present trends, KPIs, and process improvements to management team.
