Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is hiring for a product engineering role focused on yield, process control and new product introduction. You will collaborate across Process, DFM, Test, Device, Mfg and Customer teams to ensure manufacturability and drive improvements using data-driven analysis and advanced diagnostics.

You will lead root-cause investigations, model yield with wafer-sort and E-test data, and support qualification through close customer and fab engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in physics, electrical engineering or STEM-related field.
• Data mining using diverse data sources.
• Yield analysis mapping wafer sort/bin to E-test/WAT results and SPC/FDC data.
• Advanced diagnostics for failure modes and metrology planning.
• NPI and technology qualification to mass production.
• Process flow setup and target definition.
• Customer engagement from kick-off to qualification with fab engineering.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Process, DFM, Test, Device, Mfg and Customer teams to ensure manufacturability and analyze data to translate wafer-sort results into actions.
• Provide silicon analysis across data sources to model yield and control process variations.
• Identify trends and mitigation strategies to resolve yield and defect challenges.
• Monitor mass-production performance with fab engineering to root-cause issues and improve yield.
• Create and present executive and customer-facing presentations.
• Support multiple fab initiatives including cost, throughput and quality improvements.
