Job summary

ViaQuest in Dublin, OH is seeking a Developmental Disabilities Payeeship Specialist to manage individuals’ finances and ensure timely payments for rent, utilities and daily needs. The role supports the individuals’ service plans and requires accurate, timely financial tasks in a full-time on-site setting.

Preferred is a four-year degree in accounting or human services, or 3+ years in accounting or developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in accounting, social services or human services is preferred.
• Candidates with 3+ years of accounting or developmental disabilities experience will be considered.
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Monitor individual’s finances and benefits as outlined in the service plan and policy.
• Ensure basic needs such as rent and utilities are paid consistently and timely.
• Distribute spending money and petty cash at each site per service plan.
• Submit cost of living to county boards as applicable.
• Order checks for individuals promptly.
• Set up online bill pay for individuals when applicable.
• Review monthly finance packets and reconcile bank accounts monthly.
• Collaborate with Program Managers to ensure accuracy of finances.

Responsibilities may include:

• Monitor individual’s finances and benefits as outlined in the individual’s service plan and per company policy.
• Ensure individual’s basic needs such as rent, utilities, etc. are paid consistently and timely.
• Ensure spending money and petty cash is available at each site per the individual’s service plan.
• Submit cost of living to county boards, as applicable.
• Order checks for individuals timely.
• Set up online bill pay for individuals, as applicable.
• Review monthly finance packets and complete monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
• Work collaboratively with Program Managers and other management to ensure accuracy with individual’s finances.

Requirements for this position include:

• Candidates without a degree but who have 3+ years pf experience in accounting or developmental disabilities will also be considered.
• Four-year degree in accounting, social services or human services is preferred.
• Experience working in Microsoft products, such as Excel and Word.
