Job summary

ViaQuest in Lafayette, IN seeks a finance professional to oversee individual finances and benefits as part of our Circle of Care services. The role is full-time, Mon-Fri, with standard daytime hours and paid training benefits. A four-year degree in accounting or human services is preferred, with alternatives for relevant experience.

• Candidates without a degree but with 3+ years of accounting or developmental disabilities will be considered.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word required.
• Supervisory or management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor individual’s finances and benefits as outlined in the service plan and per policy.
• Ensure basic needs such as rent and utilities are paid consistently and timely.
• Manage spending money and petty cash at each site per the service plan.
• Submit cost of living to county boards, when applicable.
• Order checks for individuals timely.
• Set up online bill pay for individuals when applicable.
• Review monthly finance packets and reconcile bank accounts.
• Collaborate with Program Managers to ensure accuracy of finances.

Through a wide range of innovative services referred to as ViaQuest's Circle of Care, our skilled, dedicated employees ensure that the people we serve are active participants in their own care. ViaQuest offers quality, highly-personalized, specialized and cost-effective care, solutions and services through Hospice, Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions, Day & Employment Services, and Residential Services.

Responsibilities may include:

• Monitor individual’s finances and benefits as outlined in the individual’s service plan and per company policy.
• Ensure individual’s basic needs such as rent, utilities, etc. are paid consistently and timely.
• Ensure spending money and petty cash is available at each site per the individual’s service plan.
• Submit cost of living to county boards, as applicable.
• Order checks for individuals timely.
• Set up online bill pay for individuals, as applicable.
• Review monthly finance packets and complete monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
• Work collaboratively with Program Managers and other management to ensure accuracy with individual’s finances.

Requirements for this position include:

• Four-year degree in accounting, social services or human services is preferred.
  • Candidates without a degree but who have 3+ years pf experience in accounting or developmental disabilities will also be considered.
• Experience working in Microsoft products, such as Excel and Word.
  • Supervisory or management experience is a plus
• Displays strong communication skills and possess excellent decision-making and time-management skills.
