Job summary

PESI is seeking a Development Team Lead to guide a subset of our software engineers. You will coach, unblock, and develop talent while collaborating with peer leads and reporting to the IT Development Manager.

The role blends leadership with technical insight, focusing on people development rather than coding depth. You will work from a culture that values curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning, with exposure to our C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core/MVC, React, and TypeScript stack.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience leading, coaching, or managing a software/IT team
• Mentoring engineers and helping them grow
• Experience coordinating agile ceremonies or iterative development workflows
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to balance leadership with technical involvement when appropriate

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day people leadership for a subset of the development team
• Coach, unblock, and grow engineers while reporting to IT Development Manager
• Coordinate PTO, capacity, and scheduling to keep staffing balanced
• Lead onboarding for new team members and set expectations
• Engage in technical discussions to stay credible while prioritizing leadership duties
