Job summary

Partnership for Public Service in the United States is seeking a Senior Manager, Development - California to build and manage a California donor portfolio from a fully remote base in CA. The role focuses on high-net-worth individuals and select foundations, with collaboration from senior leaders to secure philanthropic support.

The position offers a remote California footprint, with travel within the Bay Area and occasional other locations.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of progressive fundraising, business development or sales experience.
• Two years' experience cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual donors of $10,000+.
• Experience with prospect research.
• Experience securing foundation grants of $50,000+ preferred.
• Familiarity with donor relationship management systems; Salesforce preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work or military experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage California donor portfolio; solicit individuals and foundations, coordinating with the President/CEO and senior leaders on high-level solicitations.
• Identify and cultivate new individual and foundation prospects for California programs.
• Work with the Development team to steward California donors and design cultivation events.
• Help set revenue targets and strategies for California programs and initiatives.
• Draft concept papers, grant proposals and grant reports as required.
• Maintain Salesforce and ensure notes and information are captured.
