Job summary

21st Century Alliance seeks a Southern California Fundraising Director to lead a regional fundraising program and cultivate major donors, philanthropic partners, and donor events. The role is full-time and remote, based in Los Angeles County, with travel to the SF Bay Area and Sacramento as needed.

You will align fundraising plans with policy goals, work with senior leadership, and support advocacy campaigns in a lean team setting.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to meet or exceed fundraising goals.
• Experience with donor campaigns and donor management.
• Strong written and verbal communication and relationship-building.
• Experience with major donors and philanthropic partners.
• Strategic planning for fundraising and revenue growth.
• Ability to work on-site in LA County and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors in Southern California.
• Organize donor events and engagement strategies that deepen relationships.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to design and execute long-term fundraising plans.
• Support state advocacy campaigns and coalition-building activities.
• Handle administrative tasks in a lean team environment.
