Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting required.
• 4+ years accounting experience, preferably corporate accounting and reporting.
• Experience with Workday or other large ERP systems preferred.
• Experience with GAAP, internal control policies and procedures.
• CPA preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, reviews, and analyzes financial statements with referenced work papers and supporting schedules.
• Reviews and evaluates implications of legal documents as they pertain to accounting transactions.
• Coordinates month-end closing process and prepares complex journal entries.
• Records cash disbursements and receipts, prepares accruals, and reconciles GL balances.
• Assists with monthly, quarterly, and other special reporting requirements, including intercompany activity analysis and consolidation.
• Assists with external auditor requests.
• Researches and documents GAAP accounting policies and writes memos.
• Analyzes account balances and prepares variance explanations.
• Assists in preparation of annual budgets.
• Serves as backup for department tasks.
