Job summary

You will act as the financial control point among developers, lenders, trustees, and project documents.

The role requires 4+ years in accounting, experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or similar ERP, and construction draw package expertise. CPA preferred; onsite only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or other large ERP systems.
• Experience with construction draw packages and documentation.
• Proficiency with GAAP and internal control policies.
• Experience with construction job-cost or real estate accounting platforms (e.g., Sage 300 CRE/Timberline, Yardi, MRI).
• Familiarity with Procore project management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly construction draw requests with required documentation.
• Track funding conditions and resolve items delaying disbursement.
• Reconcile draws against budget, contract sum, and schedule of values.
• Coordinate with lenders, trustees, title companies, and inspectors on draws.
• Administer retainage schedules through substantial and final completion.
• Maintain sources-and-uses tracking across equity, debt, and government contributions.
• Review change orders and document funding sources and approvals.
• Own contract sum reconciliation and adjust for change orders.
• Validate change order pricing against contract terms.
• Maintain audit trails linking changes to authorizations and budgets.
• Perform job cost accounting across projects.
• Apply capitalization vs expense for development costs.
• Prepare monthly budget-to-actual with variance explanations.
• Maintain commitment register and reconcile with A/P and GL.
• Review invoices for contract compliance and tax treatment.
• Support cash flow forecasting for draw timing and reserve funding.
• Close monthly/quarterly/yearly for development entities.
• Prepare financial statements and schedules; support consolidation.
• Coordinate external audits and lender compliance.
• Produce reporting for leadership and stakeholders monthly/quarterly/yearly.
