Job summary

Hunt Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant – Investment Accounting to manage day-to-day accounting for operating and holding companies and private equity investment vehicles with high activity.

You will prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements, footnotes, reconciliations and lender reporting, ensuring the general ledger remains accurate. The role requires 5+ years in investment accounting, experience with Workday or large ERP systems, and familiarity with Real Estate/Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum 5 years of investment accounting and reporting experience.
• Experience with Workday or other large ERP systems preferred.
• Experience in the Real Estate/Finance industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and complete quarterly financial reporting packages to investors and lenders.
• Prepare the quarterly financial reporting financial statements.
• Prepare quarterly investor statements.
• Publish quarterly performance metrics including time-weighted returns, IRR and related distributions (waterfall models).
• Assist in research of complex accounting/regulatory issues.
• Document accounting treatment and oversee recording of complex investment activity from acquisition to liquidation.
• Summarize GAAP updates and implement new disclosure requirements.
• Prepare debt covenant calculations.
• Assist with external auditors and tax return preparation; manage supporting documentation.
• Ad-hoc analysis for budget variance investigation and forecasting.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
