Job summary

American Heart Association in Frisco, TX seeks an Executive Director, Development to lead fundraising efforts and volunteer engagement across Collin County. The role reports to the Senior Vice President, North Texas and drives revenue through corporate partnerships and major donor cultivation.

The position includes managing a $2.0M+ fundraising goal, directing staff, and collaborating with Health Strategies and School Engagement teams to advance mission-driven initiatives, with an incentive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience in non-profit fundraising or similar experience.
• Ability to travel the Collin County area daily; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis.
• Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving.
• Must have at least basic knowledge and skill/proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Driving results through strong volunteer recruitment and management.
• Strategic planning and meeting sales/fundraising goals.
• Sustaining existing, and building new, corporate partnerships and revenue support through participating in and leading top-level cultivation strategies and engagements.
• Cultivating major donors, securing large corporate sponsorships (of $25,000 or more), and identifying and securing foundation gifts.
• Leading and coaching staff to meet the overall goals of the market and mission of the Association.
• Collaborating with other internal partners, such as our Health Strategies and School Engagement teams to help drive specific cause initiatives in defined markets.
