Job summary

The American Heart Association is hiring a Development Director in the Boston market. The role drives revenue for Go Red for Women campaigns, including signature events, with a two-person team overseeing the campaign.

This office-based, hybrid position requires ~75% travel, base salary with up to 25% incentive based on revenue targets, and access to training resources via Heart U and other programs.

Qualifications

• 3 years of fundraising, sales, or related experience.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel locally up to 75% and some overnight trips.
• Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorships and donations; achieve revenue goals by building and maintaining relationships.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective sponsors and donors through targeted research.
• Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership and event volunteers.
• Coordinate the event auction and lead a volunteer committee to solicit items.
