American Heart Association in Lexington is seeking a Development Director to drive revenue for the Go Red for Women campaign and manage the related luncheon event. This full-time, field-based role offers a hybrid schedule and an incentive opportunity up to 25% of base pay.

The position emphasizes building corporate partnerships, donor cultivation, and leadership recruitment, with support from Heart U and local training resources.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant fundraising, sales, or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel up to 70% locally with some overnight trips; reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift/move large objects as needed.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by securing local corporate sponsorships and individual donations; achieve revenue goals and build donor relationships.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective sponsors and donors aligned with campaign goals.
• Create proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership and day-of-event volunteers.
• Coordinate the event auction by soliciting items and preparing fundraising packages.
• Lead engagement with Cor Vitae giving society and organize member events.
• Plan and execute events with internal and external partners.
• Maintain accurate CRM donor information and use Microsoft platforms.
