Job summary

Maryland Hall in Annapolis seeks a Director of Development to lead fundraising and develop diversified revenue streams. This in-office role, with one telework day per week, reports to the Executive Director and will supervise a Grant/Development Coordinator and Volunteer Manager.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in nonprofit fundraising, a track record of meeting goals, strong relationship-building, and strategic planning skills to advance arts education and community programming.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fundraising/development experience in nonprofits
• 3+ years of managing a small team
• 2+ years using a donor management system
• Proven track record of meeting fundraising goals

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the development team to fundraise for the mission
• Identify and steward relationships with individual donors, sponsors, foundations
• Collaborate with executive leadership and board to expand support
• Oversee annual appeals and fundraising events including the organization’s signature gala
• Lead capital campaign fundraising initiatives
• Manage donor acknowledgments and communications
• Oversee development budgets and reporting
• Supervise Grant/Development Coordinator and Volunteer Manager
