We are a nonprofit organization positioning Philadelphia internationally. The work of the Development Coordinator directly facilitates Global Philadelphia’s resources needed to achieve our mission of amplifying Philadelphia as a global city and sharing our World Heritage City status with the community. We offer community programming and two major civic events annually.

Responsibilities will include:

Coordinate initial and continued outreach to investors and partners.

Schedule and attend meetings with partners and key contacts.

Draft and review letters of interest and proposals.

Coordinate regular meetings and updates with the President and Chair of the Board.

The Development Coordinator is able to manage multiple deadlines and ensures Global Philadelphia delivers on promises to the many partners and collaborators that support our nonprofit organization. This position reports to Global Philadelphia’s President. While no single candidate may embody all the qualifications below, an ideal candidate would possess many of the below experiences and skill sets:

Some knowledge of fundraising, partner and sponsorship management. Excellent writing skills.

Project management and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid work environment, multi-task and follow-through.

Strong ability to follow systems and procedures.

Strong communication skills

Able to develop the language for stakeholder proposal materials

A commitment to the mission and vision of Global Philadelphia.

Previous experience working in the greater Philadelphia area is preferred.

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge or passion for subject areas relevant to Global Philadelphia including but not limited to cultural heritage, economic development, education, global affairs, sustainability and more.

Our employees do rewarding work while being part of a team that is committed to Global Philadelphia’s mission. Our diverse staff and board are in service to an engaged membership, including nearly 6,700 who subscribe to Global Philadelphia’s emails, 296,000 that visit the website each year, and over 102,000 who follow us across social media.

The person in this position is part of a small but high-performing team. This is a part-time position operating hybrid-remote in part from our Center City location. Requires commitment and a passion for the Association business.
