This person will support the preparation and submission of letters of intent and grant proposals to prospective government funders, as well as monitor deliverables for active proposals.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Government Strategy and Development, the Government Development Coordinator is uniquely positioned to support GRID’s national and regional affiliate fundraising through government grant proposal writing, prospect research, and ownership of the team’s grant proposal resources. Candidates for this position are comfortable with project and proposal coordination, grant writing, partnership coordination, relationship management, and tracking metrics. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic individual who is looking to develop a career in government fund development supporting a dynamic, growing, mission-driven organization.

What you need to bring to this role...
*Hired CA candidates must be able to pass a screening for drugs that are illegal in the state of California, including: amphetamine, cocaine metabolite, opiates, and PCP.
Where you will sit & the places you may go…
This position may require 10%-25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects. Availability to work nights and weekends may be required.
GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use. In this instance, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
