Job summary

Lukos is seeking a Custody and Removal Coordinator in California City, CA to assist ICE personnel and detention staff in maintaining a safe environment. The role focuses on trauma-informed support for detainees and ensuring access to services, with emphasis on language interpretation and coordination of resources.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology, fluent English/Spanish, and experience in case management within a custodial or detention setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent.
• Master's degree preferred but not required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Assist detainees with needs and complaints via ICE forms.
• Support ERO requests related to parent/child communication and welfare.
• Coordinate disability accommodations with detention facilities and follow up with ERO HQ.
• Assist ERO and detention staff as a resource to ensure policy and detention standards compliance.
• Provide language interpretation for facility and ERO staff working with detainees.
• Develop and maintain a national resource database for CRC and ERO use.
• Meet with newly detained noncitizens to answer questions and provide orientation to CRC services.
