Job summary

The Amica Center for Immigrant Rights seeks a DAP Case Manager to support detained and released clients with essential social services and non-legal advocacy. You will collaborate with DAP legal staff to prepare for releases, ensure housing, health care, and community integration, and document progress for court or government entities.

You will engage with community partners, coordinate post-release plans, and maintain confidential client notes while assisting in program efficiency and grant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and valid driver’s license.
  • Strong preference for knowledge of immigration system and knowledge of local community organizations and resources.
  • Preference for applicants with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and LegalServer.

Responsibilities

  • Support an average caseload of 10-20 clients in detention and post-release.
  • Support legal staff in resolving their detained clients’ social service needs.
  • Coordinate and implement post-release plans for clients, building on clients’ resources and autonomy.
  • Competently execute safe releases from detention and provide time-limited services.
  • Engage in long-term support for a small portion of non-detained clients.
  • Enter all client-related notes into case management systems and maintain confidentiality.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and service providers.
  • Identify opportunities for social services networking and capacity building.
  • Maintain and update the online social service database; assist in grant requirements.
