Index Industries, based at our Ontario, CA headquarters, is seeking a detail-oriented Sales Support / Customer Service Representative to join the Sales team. You will ensure smooth order processing, timely communication, and exceptional service delivery to customers and account managers.

The role requires at least 2 years in customer service, strong MS Office skills, and precise data handling. Daily tasks include handling calls, quotes, orders, and live chat support in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to perform basic math functions and calculations.
• Strong multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Typing speed of 40+ words per minute.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls and provide excellent customer service throughout each interaction.
• Process estimates and sales orders efficiently with a high degree of accuracy.
• Assist outside sales representatives with quotes, order entry, and customer service needs.
• Identify sales opportunities and relay them to Account Managers or the Sales Manager.
• Provide customer service and technical support via Live Chat.
• Support the sales team by sourcing products from vendors.
• Make outbound calls as needed (e.g., emailed orders, stock issues, split shipments).
• Maintain and update customer account information.
• Relay customer comments, complaints, or issues to the Sales Manager.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and trade shows as required.
• Create new customer accounts in NetSuite.
• Update and track projects regularly using Traction Tools.
