Remedy Intelligent Staffing in Kona is seeking an Accountant/Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team. This role combines accounting, payroll, and financial reporting duties to support daily operations and ensure accurate payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree (bachelor's preferred), at least two years of accounting experience, and proven payroll processing skills.

Proficiency in Excel and payroll software is essential. In-state applicants only.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of accounting experience.
• Previous payroll processing experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with payroll software and accounting systems preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Manage vendor invoices, payments, reconciliations, and billing inquiries.
• Prepare member/customer billings and follow up on discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
• Support budget preparation, forecasting, variance reporting, and financial analysis.
• Assist with year-end audits and maintain supporting financial documentation.
• Reconcile bank accounts, subsidiary ledgers, and fixed asset schedules.
