Job summary

Talentify in Honolulu, HI is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to perform accounting functions including recording journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly closings. You will support the supervisor and department heads in all finance matters, with strong emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to travel off island as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Proficient in Excel and office applications.
• Valid Hawaii driver’s license.
• Ability to travel off island as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Record journal entries.
• Perform assigned account reconciliations and monthly closings.
• Assist Corps Officers and/or Department Heads in all finance matters as needed.
• Setup and maintain customers and vendors.
• Work with department heads and funding agencies on billing revenue and receivables.
• Assist the accounting manager and controller with audits and schedules.
• Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Ensure internal controls are in place and maintained.
