Job summary

Brevard County in Cocoa Beach is seeking an experienced tourism marketing professional to drive new business and manage convention bookings. The role coordinates between meeting planners and hospitality partners to promote Space Coast events and secure meetings with associations, corporations, and SMERF groups.

It is a full-time, permanent position located Beachside/Cocoa Beach with a schedule Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., may require evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing, or a closely related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in hotel sales, catering, convention service, or a similar DMO role. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Performs experienced professional work in the proactive solicitation of new business.
• Manages accounts and coordinates meeting and convention bookings.
• Serves as the primary liaison between meeting planners and hospitality partners including hotels, venues, and vendors.
• Promotes the Space Coast to association, corporate, and SMERF meeting planners to secure meetings and conventions.
